Matti Taskinen started at Fimecon as head of plant design

Matti Taskinen, the new head of plant design, started at Fimecon this week. Welcome!

"I have worked for the last 11 years as an equipment designer for power and recovery boilers, 9 of which as a design supervisor. My main area of responsibility has been high-pressure piping and related equipment. I have extensive experience in project operations, customer requirements, third-party and regulatory requirements, manufacturing processes, installation requirements, CE marking and other final documentation. I have worked closely with strength calculation, quality, process, purchasing and installation organizations.

Based on my work experience, the best opportunities to ensure the quality of the final product and customer satisfaction are provided by clarifying customer and authority requirements at the sales stage or in the early stages of the project, which provides an opportunity to understand and meet these requirements. In addition, investment in pre-design and design documentation, for example by defining design / purchase / manufacturing / installation criteria and specifications, pressure equipment and system classification, preliminary layout design including support concepts, placements and sufficient flexibility. I want to develop my design team and my own management skills. In addition, I want to develop the quality of project operations in general. Fimecon has given me a great opportunity to do this when I started as a pressure equipment and layout design team leader and responsible for the quality system. -Matti"
